Autumn Punkfest

from Zetacarnosa by Skyscape

/

lyrics

Four children pass me on the sidewalk
One witch, two mummies, and a ghost
The crisp North wind blows autumn leaves
That crunch like bones into cider air

Jack o'Lanterns grin from every porch
And as the sun sinks low and shadows grow
Hidden candles set them all aglow
Stars above and below the dark, bare trees

There is something tonight I want to show you
More elemental than the cool, hard air
More enticing than the fire in the pumpkin's eye
More alive than the children playing trick or treat

There's a festival running deep in the woods
Follow me to where the oldest children play
The colors of the leaves reflected in their hair
Swirling forest rainbows in a leather dream

Skyscape Brooklyn, New York

Skyscape was formed long ago by Jed Davis, Dom Maltempi and Rob Hill. Lots of people joined the band. Some quit; most were fired. Skyscape continues.
